Our architecture concept is about a restoration of an existing Jesuitical dormitory. The purpose of the restoration is to clear the building of insensitive modern design layers and by contrast to support the original atmosphere of the building with emphasis on a restoration of authentic elements.
The restored object will be completed with a new clearly visible layer of construction interventions – inside and outside the object. The interventions inside consist mainly of support spaces for newly added functions (an elevator, toilettes, an air conditioning technical room). The interventions outside the object are formed into a soft „landscape“ which hides under its surface volumes of newly added functions (auditoriums under 2nd and 3rd courtyard, accommodation space next to the perimeter wall).
